Taking care of your family as a Christian
Fathers and breadwinners (such as single moms) let us do what it takes to ensure our families have food on the table and we support them in all their needs. In these times of uncertainty let us do our best in our work to ensure our job security. This is a part of being a True Christian alongside our duties in the church as per the verse below:
"Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
- 1 Timothy 5:8, NIV
We should do our best to be self-reliant and independent. We should stop wasting our time in the affairs of others - avoid too much indulgence in Social Media. We can do this by planning ahead, acting quickly and saving money for the "rainy days":
"and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. " - 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (New International Version)
