My Daughter's Tears (Ver 2 Part 1)
I can never forget that moment in the parking lot of a Mall.
It was one of our first few meetings after our divorce had been settled by a Tokyo family court. Before that my ex-wife had deprived my daughter from me for almost 3 months, in spite of my pleadings to let me meet the "apple of my eye".
As a part of our agreement I was given the right to spend a day with my 5 year old daughter twice a month.
We went to Kids' playhouse inside the local Daei Mall and had dinner at her favorite steak house.
On our way home, we went to the parking lot where their car was parked.
I was carrying my daughter and walking towards my ex-wife's car while her mother is starting the engine.
My little girl rest her head against my shoulder face down. I felt the weight of her head on my shoulders so I thought she fell asleep.
But I had to turn her over to her mother and she had to ride the car. When she lifted her head I realized that she was pretending to be asleep.
She hugged me once more and pressed her eyes hard on my shoulder but she couldn't hide her tears anymore. She silently sobbed but still fighting to hide her emotions. Her mother shouted - "Rina-chan, we have to go!". I gently had her seated in the back of the car.
I realized that she had wet my shoulder with her tears. And slowly, my eyes were beginning to wet.
As the car moved on, I heard my daughter's cry became louder and louder and she couldn't help herself shouting in pain. I couldn't hear exactly what she was saying between sobs but I guess she was saying "I don't wanna be away from my Papa!".

モールの駐車場でのその瞬間を忘れることはできません。
離婚が東京の家庭裁判所によって解決された後、それは私たちの最初のいくつかの会議の1つでした。その前は、私の元妻が「目の前の林檎」に会いたいと申し出たにもかかわらず、娘を3か月近く奪っていました。
私たちの合意の一部として、私は月に2回、5歳の娘と1日過ごす権利を与えられました。
私たちは地元の大栄モール内のキッズプレイハウスに行き、彼女のお気に入りのステーキハウスで夕食をとりました。
家に帰る途中、彼らの車が駐車されていた駐車場に行きました。
私は娘を携帯し、母親がエンジンをかけている間、妻の車に向かって歩いていました。
私の少女は頭を下向きにして肩に当てます。彼女の頭の重さを肩に感じたので、彼女は眠りに落ちたと思った。
しかし、私は彼女を母親に引き渡さなければならず、彼女は車に乗らなければなりませんでした。彼女が頭を上げたとき、私は彼女が眠っているふりをしていることに気づきました。
彼女はもう一度私を抱き締めて、彼女の目を私の肩に強く押し付けましたが、彼女はもう彼女の涙を隠すことができませんでした。彼女は静かにすすり泣いたが、まだ感情を隠すために戦っていた。彼女の母親は叫んだ-「リナちゃん、私たちは行かなければならない！」。私は彼女を車の後部にそっと着席させた。
