Get Rid of Anger - wikiHow

Get Rid of Anger - wikiHow One more thought to help you diminish anger and hatred: After almost 4 decades living in this World, I have come to realize one thing --- The Law of Action and Reaction is very true in us humans. We should take advantage of this law. A person who constantly reflects and observe the things around him can master the principles of success and achieve almost up to perfection. He would think to himself - if somebody is mad at him or is criticizing him then obviously he is doing something wrong or inappropriate. Instead of getting back at that other person, he would thank him either verbally or through feelings of gratitude, and use that "reaction" as a hint to point to what could be the problem. If he is 100% sure that there is really no problem, or that is is not heading the wrong direction in life, then he can consider the fact that the criticizing person could possibly be misinformed, misled or there has been a lack of communication - and think of...

Nobel winner talks about World Poverty

Nobel Peace Prize winner Martti Ahtisaari speaks about world poverty at a concert in his honor. Embedded video from CNN Video There are people who think about how their company would succeed. The president of each nation would be responsible to plan his country's progress. But who is responsible to rid this world out of poverty? It would be great if World leaders can brainstorm and make a long term plan to engineer the world and make it a much better place for future generations. With lots of intelligent and rich people and the cutting edge technologies we have - I still wonder why we cannot resolve the world's perennial problem - poverty. Anybody knows how much money the world has? And how can that money be in the future almost equally distributed to Earth's 6 Billion residents?

bizarre video in Iraq - Bush dodges shoes

A reporter reacts to US Pres. Bush with frustration and called him a "dog". Embedded video from CNN Video What can I say, the video itself is funny but I agree with Bush that one reporter may not represent the majority of people. Personally, I did not favor the Iraq invasion and I am concerned about the plight of the Iraqi people - but I would never throw him my shoe. He's not worth it :)

A Mission Statement of A Christian

Hello All, As per Dr. Covey's book - the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - the first step towards success is to create your mission statement. Below is the mission statement of a Christian who at this writing prefers to remain in anonimity. I think its good and can guide others as an example when writing their mission statements. The principles starts witht the letters that form the word CHRIST but these principles are not exclusive to Christianity but rather Universal principles embraced by almost all religions and cultures. Hope this helps! ------------------ MISSION STATEMENT My personal mission is to love God, my Family and my fellow men and be with God in His Holy Kingdom. Funny Story: Engineering In Hell

Engineering In Hell An engineer dies and reports to the pearly gates. St. Peter checks his dossier and says, "Ah, you're an engineer -- you're in the wrong place." So, the engineer reports to the gates of hell and is let in. Pretty soon, the engineer gets dissatisfied with the level of comfort in hell, and starts designing and building improvements. After awhile, they've got air conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and the engineer is a pretty popular guy. One day, God calls Satan up on the telephone and says with a sneer, "So, how's it going down there in hell?" Satan replies, "Hey, things are going great. We've got air conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and there's no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next." God replies, "What??? You've got an engineer? That's a mistake -- he should never have gotten down there; send him up here." Satan says, "No way. I like having an ...

Noni fruit helps reduce the risk of cancer

Image
I've read many articles and books written by doctors proving that regularly drinking at least 30 cc of Noni fruit juice a day can actually reduce the risk of cancer. Noni fruit is a rare light green fruit from Tahiti, French Polynesia and other islands that were used by natives for thousands of years to cure diseases and boost their energy. No wonder Tahitian people are generally strong and energetic ( reminds me of the Tahitian women belly dancing ). For more info check the wikipedia article here . My father died of colon cancer at a young age of 49. He went through so much pain for a couple of years that while the whole family could not help him but shed tears. I promised on his grave to fight this disease in whatever way I can. I do not want to see myself or any member of my family go thru that pain again. For that reason I order 4 bottles of Tahitian Noni juice for my whole family every month... For this reason, I sincerely encourage my friends and the rest of the world to fi...

Before We Change the World

Here's an inspirational article about individual change: QUOTE “When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights and decided to change only my country. But, it too seemed immovable. As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only family, only those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it. And now as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize, if I had only changed myself first, then by example I would have changed my family. From their inspiration and encouragement I would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, I may have even changed the world.” Quote from an Anglican bishop found inscribed on his tomb in Westminster Abbey (mentioned by Richard Leider in Coaching for Leadership by Goldsmith et al) TIP Try reflecting on the Bridges transition framework for tips on how to navi...
