Past Love: Forgive and Forget ?

Image
Forgive - yes, of course.  No need to suffer more  pain by pointing fingers at each other. Well, my advice is there is no need to force yourself to forget. As the song goes - Cherish the Love you had. In romantic relationships 2 persons learn from each other, share joys and sadness alike and its an exhilarating experience that we can reminisce anytime we like. You should however move on and open your heart to new relationships while keeping your past relationships in your bookshelf of life to learn from them. The more relationships we have the more mature person we can be.

When I help my customers

Image
Whenever I provide technical assistance to my customers I help them resolve their problems in using the equipment made by my company. In doing so I do not just help my customer as a company but also help all their stakeholders as well. For instance, since my customer operates a Call Center, I eventually help all their agents as well.  And in helping agents - to be efficient and happy with their jobs - I am helping their families and dependents. Agents who are satisfied with our call center equipments would have a smile in their voice and would be very helpful to their end- customers.  Therefore I am able to indirectly help my customer's end-customers. My customer being a bank, a financial company, a utility or product manufacturer - their end-customers could include you and me. And this is the JOY of human existence - to be able to help a great number of people.

Life Lessons from the Eagle

A colleague at work sent a wonderful powerpoint preso about the life of an Eagle. Here are some lessons to ponder and inspire: — Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, — Not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. — A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. — It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results. — When it rains, most birds head for shelter; — the eagle is the only bird that, — in order to avoid the rain, — starts flying above the cloud... --- I will post a copy of the preso in http://diaworld.net —

Lets Pray for Tiananmen Square Souls

Image
Today, July 4 is the 22nd Anniversary of the Tiananmen Square revolt in 1989. A student-led revolt that led to an unconscionable massacre. Let us pause briefly for a moment of prayer for the souls of the victims. Here is the BBC news clipping of that time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJBnHMpHGRY What is wrong with expressing yourself peacefully ? Why did the world allow this to happen? Did the Billions of dollars in trade from China blinded our eyes that we condoned the killings of hundreds of students ? Is there a price even for just one human life? No government has the right to kill anybody, not even its own people. I was once a college student who joined a rallying in the streets and expressed my opinion. In the Philippines we do not have the wealth that China is now enjoying, but we have freedom of speech - something we would never exchange for any amount of money. We had 3 people power revolts and thankfully we never had a leader who resorted to violence. Even our fo...

Victims of the Tohoku Japan Earthquake

My heart is broken every time I see the plight of the victims of the Northeastern Japan Earthquake in local TV. Seeing the survivors search amongst the rubbles hoping their family members are still alive, seeing the children in evacuation areas and hearing their moms worried about how to feed them , watching the evacuees with their eyes of grief - worried about their future - their livelihood destroyed by either by the quake or Tsunami - I could not stop my tears from flowing. How I wish I could go there and help. But my own responsibilities as well as the tough travel logistics would not allow me to. At this point there are 2 things I can do to help the victims and survivors. I can donate myself and encourage my friends as well as the rest of the world to do so. For all of us here in Japan let us join hands together and rebuild this great nation once again. GAMBARIMASHO! In the spirit of philanthropy and humanitarian concern , I would like to share the Google page below: Engl...
