Lets Pray for Tiananmen Square Souls
Today, July 4 is the 22nd Anniversary of the Tiananmen Square revolt in 1989. A student-led revolt that led to an unconscionable massacre. Let us pause briefly for a moment of prayer for the souls of the victims. Did the Billions of dollars in trade from China blinded our eyes that we condoned the killings of hundreds of students ? Is there a price even for just one human life? No government has the right to kill anybody, not even its own people. I was once a college student who joined a rallying in the streets and expressed my opinion. In the Philippines we do not have the wealth that China is now enjoying, but we have freedom of speech - something we would never exchange for any amount of money.
